Kings share point with Sheikh Russel

Dhaka, 23 Feb-Ten men Bashundhara Kings split point with Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra when they were forced to play a 1-1 goal draw in their last match of the first leg of Bangladesh Premier League football held at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Friday.

In the proceeding, forward Rakib Hossain scored for Bashundhara while
Japanese midfielder Kodai Iida netted for Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.

After the contesting barren first half, Kodai Idha finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Sheikh Russel in the 46th minute while Rakib restored the parity for Bashundhara in the 67th minute of the match.

Bashundhara Kings were reduced to ten men as their Brazilian forward
Dorielton was shown direct red car for his unsporting behavior in the match.

Despite the draw, Bashundhara finished the first leg with a top securing 22 points while Sheikh Russel, who stand at fifth position in the league table, collected 10 points playing the same number of matches.
