Minister Mahbub visits July Uprising injured on treatment in Thailand

Minister for Posts, Teleco and IT, and Science and Technology, Faqir Mahbub Anam, visited the July Uprising injured in Thailand.



Dhaka, Apr 24 -Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and IT, and Science and Technology, Faqir Mahbub Anam, visited the victims of the July Uprising who are currently undergoing advanced medical treatment at Vejthani International Hospital in Thailand on Friday.

During his visit, the Minister personally met with the injured individuals, inquired about their physical recovery, and wished them a speedy return to health.

He also held detailed discussions with the attending physicians to monitor the progress of their medical care. On behalf of the Prime Minister, the Minister assured both the patients and the hospital authorities that the government remains committed to providing all necessary support for their rehabilitation.

In a gesture of personal solidarity, the Minister provided 100,000 Thai Baht from his own funds to assist with the treatment expenses of the injured.

The visit highlights the government's ongoing efforts to ensure specialized care for those seriously wounded during the July movement, many of whom have been sent abroad for treatments unavailable domestically. - UNB
