Jeddah, March 3, 2025 - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) submitted written statements to the International Court of Justice regarding the advisory opinion on the obligations of Israel in relation to the presence and activities of the United Nations, other international organizations and third States in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The OIC stressed the importance of these legal efforts to confront the actions of Israel, the occupying power, and its invalid laws that prevent the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) from operating in the occupied Palestinian territories as of 30 January 2025. The OIC renewed its steadfast support for this UN agency that was established by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to serve the Palestinian refugees until a just and lasting solution is found to their cause. – OIC News
