Court Seizes Saima Wazed Putul’s Flat in Gulshan

A Dhaka court on Tuesday ordered the seizure of an apartment in Gulshan owned by Saima Wazed Putul, daughter of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The order was issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib following a petition filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Md Monirul Islam.

According to the petition, Putul is under investigation for alleged illegal accumulation of wealth. The seizure move aims to prevent any sale or transfer of the property during the ongoing probe.

Previously, on March 5, the same court ordered the freezing of Tk 483.5 million across 14 bank accounts linked to the Suchona Foundation, established by Putul.
