First Hajj Flight from Bangladesh Lands in Saudi Arabia

The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh this year, Flight BG-3501, landed at the Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 7:30 am local time today.

Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Md Delwar Hossain, welcomed the pilgrims upon arrival. Also present were Mia Md Mainul Kabir, Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, and Md Zahidul Islam, Counsellor of the Bangladesh Hajj Mission.

The pilgrims were also greeted by Engineer Mazen Jawahar, Adviser to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority; Salman Al-Belabi, Director at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah; along with other Saudi officials.

Ambassador Hossain offered his best wishes to the pilgrims and assured them of continued support from the Bangladesh Embassy, Consulate, and Hajj Mission during their stay.

The pilgrims expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and smooth airport arrangements.

A total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year.
