Poetry fest held in Goalanda

The festival started in the evening on the Martyr Freedom Fighter Fakir Mohiuddin Ansar Club premises and continued till night.



A poetry recitation festival was held on Thursday in Rajbari's Goalanda on the occasion of Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day in an effort to promote proper practice of Bengali language and to mark the 15th anniversary of social organization 'Ekoj Jagaran'.

The festival started in the evening on the Martyr Freedom Fighter Fakir Mohiuddin Ansar Club premises and continued till night.

At the beginning of the event, the National Anthem was performed with all the guests and members of the organizations present along with the artistes of the local cultural arena. After that, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of the language martyrs.

National Recitation Artist Mahidul Islam, Recitation Artist Maskur-e-Sattar Kallol from Dhaka, Alum Ara Jui from Kushtia, General Secretary of 'Dhaibat Abritti Bhumi' Madaripur Imran Sagar, Recitation by 'Udbhas Abritti Sanggathan' and 'Ekoj Recitation Family' of Rajbari's Golanda participated in the recitation festival, among others.
