The training was inaugurated at the hall room of Matikata Union Parishad on Sunday.
A total of 20 people, including 11 women, are participating in the training. They will receive practical and theoretical training on modern livestock and poultry rearing, disease prevention, farm management and marketing.
Lieutenant Colonel Riaz Shahriar, commander of Rajshahi 1 BGB Battalion, said the training would help participants become self-reliant by creating self-employment opportunities.
Concerned officials also said the main objective of the training is to develop the skills of unemployed and able-bodied people in the border areas and connect them with legitimate employment opportunities, reports BSS.
