26 Arrested in Army's Anti-Crime Operation in Dhaka

The 46th Independent Infantry Brigade of the Bangladesh Army conducted a special anti-crime operation in various Dhaka areas from December 18 to 22, resulting in the arrest of 26 individuals involved in criminal activities. The operation targeted Tejgaon, Mohakhali, Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, and Kamrangirchar.


The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate shared the details in a press release. Those arrested face charges of murder, drug trafficking, extortion, and employment fraud.

During the operations, authorities recovered a significant haul of illegal drugs, weapons, and cash. Local residents actively supported the army in the operation, which was aimed at improving law and order. The army has pledged to continue such efforts to enhance security in the region.
