Hasina, Quader sued in Bogura murder case

A murder case has been filed against 101 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, at Bogura Sadar Police Station. The complaint, lodged by Sikandar Hossain, the victim's father, alleges involvement in the murder of Selim Hossain.

According to Officer-in-Charge Saihan Oliullah, the case names 99 other local Awami League leaders and activists. The complaint accuses them of attacking protesters on August 4 in Bogura town's Satmatha area, where Selim, a 35-year-old teacher from Palikanda village in Shibganj upazila, was fatally assaulted with sharp weapons.

Selim's brother has alleged that the murder was orchestrated by Hasina and Quader, claiming that Selim was not killed in a shooting but rather executed by Awami League members under their orders.
