Ali Riaz, a distinguished professor of political science at Illinois State University, has called for a complete rewrite of the constitution to address issues within democratic institutions.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS) at a capital hotel on Thursday, Riaz emphasized that significant reforms are necessary for effective governance.

During the event, where Riaz presented a keynote paper, he discussed various topics including the constitution, democracy, and elections. He asserted, "In my view, the constitution needs to be rewritten. Without this, institutional reform will be unattainable."
