Mahmudur Rahman, editor of the daily Amar Desh, issued a seven-day ultimatum to classify Chhatra League as a terrorist organization during a meeting at the National Press Club on Sunday.

Rahman called for the removal of all statues of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and urged the cancellation of Saima Wazed Putul's nomination to the World Health Organization. He emphasized the need to review all agreements made with India over the past 15 years.

He criticized the judiciary under Prime Minister Hasina, alleging it has become a puppet of the ruling party and suggesting that Justice Nizamul Haque Nasim should face arrest for his involvement in the Skype scandal. He also accused Bangladeshi media of being dominated by Indian influence, asserting it promotes narratives of fundamentalism and Islamic militancy.

Additionally, Rahman proposed renaming Jamuna Bridge as Shaheed Abu Sayed Bridge and Bangabandhu Avenue as Shaheed Abrar Avenue, in honor of the slain BUET student.
