Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman

The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, stated on Tuesday that the country's law-and-order situation is improving, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Bangladesh Army in fulfilling its duties.

Addressing army personnel during a 'Darbar' for soldiers of the 7th Infantry Division and Barishal area, as well as an 'Officer's Address' for Army officers, General Zaman emphasized the importance of supporting the civilian administration and the public with professionalism and patience. The remarks were made during his visit to the region earlier in the day.

The Army Chief encouraged all personnel to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, utilizing the magisterial powers entrusted to them by the state to maintain peace and public order as a symbol of trust. He also urged soldiers to prepare for the challenges of the 21st century through modern, up-to-date training.

In addition, General Zaman inspected ongoing infrastructural projects in the newly established cantonment in the 7th Infantry Division.

The visit was attended by senior military officers, junior commissioned officers, and civil officials involved in the development efforts.
