Akhter made these comments after inaugurating the Institute of Livestock Science and Technology in Tilagarh, Sylhet. She highlighted that, under the former administration, substantial funds were diverted from intended projects, leaving many initiatives incomplete. The government will thoroughly investigate these discrepancies and take appropriate action, she emphasized. Additionally, she assured that reforms within the Ministry will run parallel to these investigations, ensuring justice and transparency.
The adviser also addressed the damage caused by recent floods, noting the significant losses not only to human life but also to livestock, poultry, and other animals in flood-hit areas of Sylhet.
