SSC and Equivalent Exams Begin Thursday

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent exams for 2025 are set to begin nationwide on Thursday, April 10.


A total of 1,490,142 candidates will take part in the exams across nine general education boards. The exams will be conducted in 2,291 centers at 18,084 institutions throughout the country. Among the candidates, 701,538 are male and 788,604 are female.

Additionally, 294,726 students under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board are registered to sit for the exams, with 150,893 male and 143,833 female candidates.

The Bangladesh Technical Education Board will also have 143,313 candidates, including 108,385 male and 34,928 female students, participating in the exams.

The written exams are scheduled to conclude on May 13, with practical exams set to be held from May 15 to May 22.

This year's exams mark a significant milestone for students across the country, as they prepare for one of the most important academic assessments of their educational journey.
