United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern over India's military actions in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, urging both nations to exercise maximum restraint.

A spokesperson for the UN chief emphasized that Guterres was alarmed by the ongoing military operations across the Line of Control and the international border, calling for both India and Pakistan to avoid further escalation.

"The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan," the spokesperson stressed.
