Masud, Badal Elected President, Secretary of BSRF

Masudul Haque, special correspondent of United News of Bangladesh (UNB), has been elected president of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF).

Mohammad Ubaydullah (Badal) of daily Kaler Kantho has been elected general secretary.

The election to form the executive committee for the 2025-2026 term was held on Sunday at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital.

Chief Election Commissioner and Jatiya Press Club President Hasan Hafiz announced the results. Former Jatiya Press Club president and editor of Daily Desh Rupantor Kamal Uddin Sabuj and former general secretary of the club and executive editor of daily Amar Desh Syed Abdal Ahmad served as election commissioners.

In the outgoing committee, Mahtab was president while Masudul served as general secretary.

Out of 156 registered BSRF voters, 151 cast their ballots. Four ballots were declared invalid due to errors.
