Three players share lead after 2nd round in GM chess

DHAKA - Three players are sharing lead in the points table with 1.5 points after the second round games of second editions Year Long GM Chess tournament now being held at the media center of Bangladesh Olympic Association.

   They are GM Alexander Zubarev of Ukraine, IM Aronyak Ghosh and IM Neelash Saha of India.

   In the day's second round matches, IM Aronyak beat IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, Anata Choudhury drew with Sanket Chakravrty of India, GM Vadim Malakhatko split point with GM Zubarev, IM Neelash split point with IM Kaustav Chatterjee.

   CM Sharif Hossain and IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh of India are sharing the joint lead.

   In the second round games of the IM event, CM Sharif beat FM Taibur Rahman, CM Tahsin Tajwar Zia beat FM Khandekar Aminul Islam, GM Alexey Kislinisky of Czech Republic beat FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, IM Nubairshah beat Sourath Biswas of India and Swanavo Choudhury split point with IM Mahmood Lodhi of Pakistan.

   The third round games of the second GM and IM chess tournament start tomorrow (Tuesday) at the same venue.BSS
