Nepal set for final clash with Bangladesh

Dhaka, 2 June -Nepal set the final clash with host Bangladesh as they beat Kenya by 59-55 points in tie breaker in the second semifinal of the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium here on Sunday.

The keenly contested semifinal match rolled into a tie breaker after the regulation time ended by 50-50 points draw. In the tiebreaker five raids were allowed per team. Nepal, who reached final of the tournament for the first time, scored nine while Kenya scored five consequently winning 59-55.

Kenya however took 27-20 points lead after the breather.

Ghansham Roka Magar of Nepal was named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the match.

State Minister for Ministry of Cultural Affairs Naheed Ezaher Khan distributed the prizes among the winners.
