Kalapara AC (land) injured by muggers in Savar

The assistant commissioner (land) of Kalapara upazila in Patuakhali district was injured in an attack by some muggers in CNB area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Savar.

The assistant commissioner (land) of Kalapara upazila in Patuakhali district was injured in an attack by some muggers in CNB area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Monday night.
The injured is Abu Bakar Siddique, son of Kamal Uddin of Mirzapur upazila in Tangail district.
Deepak Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said Abu Bakar came here to participate in a training programme.
A group of muggers swooped on Abu Bakar when he was passing through the CNB area in the night and snatched money and mobile phone set from his possession.
The muggers also stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him injured.
Later, he was taken to Enam Medical College and Hospital.  
Police are trying to arrest the attackers, said OC.
