Seven police officers sent into retirement

DHAKA, Sept 22 - Seven police officers, including three additional inspectors general of police, were sent into retirement on Sunday.

 The police officials are Debdas Bhattacharya, Additional IGP of Railway Police, AKM Hafiz Akter, Deputy Inspector General of Industrial Police (Addl-IGP Supernumerary Posts) and Bashir Ahmad, Deputy Inspector General of Police Telecom (Addl-IGP Supernumerary Posts), Md Mizanur Rahman, Commandant (Police Super), RRF, Dhaka, Md Dadan Fakir, Assistant Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Md Shamim Or Rashid of DMP and Md Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Police Super of APBn Headquarters.

In this regard, the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued seven separate gazette notifications signed by Senior Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen.

According to notifications, they have been sent into retirement from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits as per the rules, it added. - BSS Report
