Baraigram OC Sirajul Islam closed.

Natore, Feb 21 - The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baraigram Police Station in Natore, Sirajul Islam, has been closed and attached to the police line due to administrative reasons, including negligence in handling a robbery and harassment of two female passengers on a Dhaka-Rajshahi night coach and failure to inform higher authorities.

The information was confirmed by Dr. Mohammad Shahjahan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rajshahi Range.

In the evening, the DIG visited Baraigram Police Station, and shortly after, OC Sirajul Islam was closed.

On Monday night, a robbery took place on a Dhaka-Rajshahi bus of Unique Road Royals’ "Amri Travels." The robbers hijacked the moving bus for nearly three hours before returning it to the same location and disembarking around 4:00 am.

Passengers also alleged that, in addition to the robbery, female passengers were harassed during the incident. - UNB
