Mahdi Amin said on the one hand, the government is working sincerely to establish human rights, freedom of speech and the rule of law, which has been reflected repeatedly in the new standard of liberality and tolerance.
On the other hand, he said, the politics of propaganda, hatred or slander in the name of freedom of speech, which has become a tactic of a quarter, is contradictory to the aspirations of a mass uprising.
Mahadi Amin said the cabinet of the government, elected by the people's vote, held a total of 10 cabinet meetings from February 17 to May 24.
He said 60 important decisions have been taken unanimously in the meetings.
"Out of those decisions, 37 percent have already been implemented and the remaining 23 decisions are on progress," he said.
He said the government has set a shining example of its speed, effectiveness and sincerity after the decisions taken by the cabinet in such a short time.
Highlighting the success of the government, Mahdi Amin said in just 100 days the government of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, which was formed with a huge public mandate, has achieved very visible, clear and significant progress in various fields.
At the same time, he said, a new, strong and positive combination of empowerment, hopes and aspirations and expectations has been created in public minds.
He said multifaceted and timely steps taken by the government helped return relief and order in public life. If the people of the country work together in accordance with the government's vision, and if the youth and women are empowered, "InshaAllah we will definitely be able to turn Bangladesh into a dignified and self-reliant state".
The spokesperson said the elected government believes that in addition to consolidating democracy, the state's responsibility is to provide such policy support, where every citizen, regardless of party, opinion, religion or caste, will get equal opportunities on the basis of merit and can contribute to the development and progress of the country.
Noting that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is committed to fulfilling the expectations of the people in this democratic Bangladesh achieved through the sacrifices of the martyrs in the July Uprising and the 16-year democratic process, he said the country's people is the main foundation of the country's progress.

"It is sad but true that many are misusing the freedom of speech. What you said, indecent behavior, spreading false information or maligning characters, those should never be included in freedom of speech," he said.
The spokesperson said, "As we want to establish justice, it is the responsibility of the government to protect the dignity and respect of every person. It has only been three months; so naturally, detailed work on these issues has not started on a priority basis now."
However, he said, there are many victims who are being targeted for maligning characters by misinformation and disinformation.
Stating that a decision will be taken after discussing with the stakeholders on legal reforms to prevent propaganda in the name of freedom of speech, the PMO spokesperson said, "We are all more or less aware of the propaganda being carried out in the name of freedom of speech, for which there is a natural need for some legal reforms, and perhaps a coordinated decision will be taken on these in the coming days based on consultation with the stakeholders."
