BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, in a virtual address on Tuesday, called for firm action against individuals attempting to undermine the party's integrity for personal gain. He warned that agents of conspirators had infiltrated the party and stressed the need for strong measures to preserve its reputation.

"Despite facing immense repression, our leaders and workers have upheld the trust of the people in the BNP. Anyone who seeks to damage this trust for their own interests must be dealt with decisively," Tarique said, addressing BNP's three simultaneous workshops in Dhaka, Narayanganj, and Gazipur Divisions.

The workshops, focusing on the party's "31-Point State Structure Reform Proposal and Public Engagement," were organized by the BNP's Training Affairs Committee. The event in Dhaka was held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, with over 2,500 grassroots leaders from various units of the party in attendance.

Tarique urged party leaders at all levels to closely monitor the activities of their subordinates, ensuring that no one tarnishes the party's image for selfish reasons. "We must stay vigilant and protect the people's trust in us," he emphasized.

The BNP leader also reiterated the party's commitment to returning to power through the people's support to implement their reform proposals. "Our long struggle and sacrifices will be in vain if we don't achieve this. The people's support is key to our success," he said.

Tarique stressed the importance of moral integrity within the party. "We must always act with ethics and take a strong stance against any form of misdeed. Our actions must align with the principles we stand for," he stated. He further called on BNP leaders and workers to take an oath to safeguard the public’s confidence in the party, at all costs.

Acknowledging that BNP now enjoys widespread popular support, Tarique warned that the party's success had led to jealousy and conspiracies from rival political forces. "Many plots are being hatched against us, and agents of these conspiracies have infiltrated our ranks. We must remain vigilant and cautious," he cautioned.

Tarique also addressed the upcoming national elections, noting that despite the weakening of their primary opposition, the election will be more challenging than any before. "We must prepare ourselves to face these challenges with the support of the people. Stay connected with the people, and keep their trust," he urged.

The BNP leader reaffirmed that the party's ultimate goal is to transform the fate of the people and move the country forward. "The people look to the BNP with hope, believing that we will work for their welfare. Their future and fate are tied to our actions," he said.

He highlighted that the most valuable asset for any political party, leader, or worker is the trust of the people. "When the people trust you, it is not just a political achievement—it is your duty to uphold that trust," he added.

Tarique likened every BNP leader and worker to an ambassador of the party, emphasizing that their actions reflect the party’s image in the eyes of the people. "The people will judge the BNP based on what you do," he said.

Reaffirming the party's demand for elections, Tarique made it clear that BNP seeks a free and fair process. "We do not believe in rigged elections or vote fraud. The people’s right to vote must be restored at all costs," he declared.

He also promised that if the BNP returns to power, the party will ensure the protection of press freedom and other fundamental rights for the people.

Tarique concluded by recalling how BNP and the people forced the autocratic government to step down. "Though the leaders of the autocratic regime have fled, their remnants remain and continue plotting against us. We must remain alert to these threats," he warned.
