Three players share lead

Dhaka, 17 Dec  - Three players shared lead in the points table with maximum five points after the fifth round of Victory Day International Open Rating Chess tournament held at Dak Bhaban, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar at Agargaon in the capital on Tuesday.

They are FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia, IM Abu Sufian Shakil and Anata Choudhury. 

Seven players shared the second position with 4.5 points. They are IM Manon Reja Neer, FM Khandaker Aminul Islam, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, FM Sakline Mostafa Sajid, CM Md Sariatullah, Tahmidul Haque and Neloy Debnath. 

In the day's fifth round matches, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag split point with IM Manon Reja Neer, FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia beat WFM Wadifa Ahmed, IM Abu Sufian Shakil beat FM Mohammad Javed, Anata Choudhury beat CM Chanchal Kumer Ghosh, Tahmidul Haque split point with FM Khandaker Aminul Islam, FM Sakline Mostafa Sajid beat WFM Noshin Anjum, Swarnavo Choudhury split point with Md Nasir Uddin, Neloy Debnath beat Amit Bikram Roy and CM Md Sariatullah beat Afnan Zarif Haque. 

The sixth round matches will be held Wednesday from 3 pm at the same venue.
