BNP has submitted a list of 848 martyrs of the July-August movement to the International Crimes Tribunal.

The list was submitted through a letter signed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday (February 13).

Out of the 848 martyrs in the list, 524 are directly leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations. The remaining 324 are said to be BNP supporters.

It has also been mentioned that more than 5,000 leaders and activists have been injured in the movement. Documents of 84 cases filed across the country in connection with the killing of leaders and activists have also been submitted to the tribunal's prosecution.

The party has demanded justice for those involved in the arbitrary killings, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

BNP's Disappearances, Murders and Information Preservation Committee Coordinator Salahuddin Khan later told reporters.
