Ziaur Rahman's Thoughts & Tarique Rahman's 31-Point Program

New book -Multidimentional thoughts of Ziaur Rahman and 31-point programme of Tarique Rahman launched.

Dhaka, February 24: A research-based book titled “Ziaur Rahman’s Multidimensional Thoughts: Tarique Rahman’s 31-Point Program” was launched, focusing on the political philosophy of the late President Ziaur Rahman, the pioneer of multi-party democracy in Bangladesh, and the 31-point program of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The book unveiling ceremony took place at 4 PM today at the stage set up in the Suhrawardy Udyan.

Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Dhaka University, was the chief guest at the event. Other distinguished guests included Professor Mesbahur Rahman, Barrister Harunur Rashid Khan, activist and youth leader Mahbub Nahid, writer Umme Kulsum, and author Mahfuza Bina.

The book was authored by Engineer A.K.M. Rezaul Karim, who is the Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Research Center. In this book, he highlights the contribution of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman to multi-party democracy and provides a detailed analysis of Tarique Rahman’s 31-point program. The book has been published by Kali Publications, and the publisher is S.M. Mahir Uddin Kali.

In his speech, Chief Guest Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed stated, “The contribution of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman to Bangladesh’s democratic progress is immense. Tarique Rahman’s 31-point program presents a vision to further strengthen this course.”

The special guests highlighted the book's research-oriented approach and its relevance in the current political context. They expressed that the book would offer valuable guidance to the current generation regarding multi-party democracy and the future action plans of BNP.

At the end of the event, the author, Engineer A.K.M. Rezaul Karim, in his speech, said, "I hope this research-based book will be useful to readers and play a significant role in the institutionalization of democracy."

At the conclusion of the event, some copies of the book were distributed to the guests present.
