According to a press release issued Friday, the meeting with Jasod is scheduled for 10:00 AM, followed by talks with Zaker Party at 3:00 PM. Both sessions will take place at the LD Hall of the Jatiya Sangsad Complex.
The Commission began its dialogue process on March 20 and has so far held discussions with six political parties, including the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Khelafat Majlish, Bangladesh Labour Party, Rastra Sangshaskar Andolan, Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party, and Nagorik Oikya. It aims to conclude the first round of talks by the first week of May.
Launched on February 15, 2025, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, the Consensus Commission has been working to engage political stakeholders on major reform proposals.
The initiative is based on recommendations from five key reform bodies: the Constitution Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission, Electoral System Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission, and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Reform Commission.
To facilitate feedback, the Commission earlier shared a spreadsheet of selected recommendations with 38 political parties, requesting their input by March 13. So far, 32 parties—including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Nationalist Citizens’ Party (NCP)—have submitted their proposals.
