Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called upon all to tackle every crisis in a collective manner with solidarity.

"Bangladesh must remain united and face every crisis with solidarity," he said in a post on his verified Facebook ID.

He said: "In this time of national mourning, I appeal to all pro-democratic co-warriors to remain calm and united."

Tarique Rahman reiterated his call for building a strong social system based on tolerance and self-restraint to end divisive clashes or arrogance of mob.

He has alerted all against the pro-fascist activities, saying, there are worrying reports that some members of banned student political organization are creating tension between people and police and inciting violence.

"I request these groups to refrain from trying to exploit such a sad moment in the Bangladesh's history for their own interests. Instead, we should focus on showing unity as a nation and showing compassion and solidarity," he said.

The BNP acting chairman stressed the need for mobilizing all the energies towards finding our missing loved ones, properly listing the deceased, ensuring the best possible treatment for the injured, and allowing the authorities to conduct an impartial and effective investigation to determine the root cause of the plane crash, reports BSS.

"Our heartfelt sympathies are with the innocent death victims and their bereaved families," he said.
