Police disperse crowd from JaPa office in Kakrail in 20 Aug evening.

Unidentified individuals attacked the Jatiya Party’s central office in Dhaka’s Kakrail area on Saturday evening, setting it on fire.

Police confirmed the incident and said they are on the scene, working to bring the situation under control.

The attack followed clashes on Friday evening between leaders and activists of the Jatiya Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad, when a procession from the latter passed by the party office.

Gono Odhikar Parishad said several of their activists, including its President Nurul Haque Nur, were injured during the incident when law enforcement officers used batons to disperse the crowd.

Nur is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
