Dhaka College 1967 batchmates elect new committee

Engr Akramuk Huq the outgoing general secretary of Dhaka College 1967 batchmates speaking at their AGM on Saturday.



The 1967 batchmates of Dhaka College at an annual general meeting on Saturday elected a new committee for three years 2024-2026 with banker Rumi Ali and Engr Abdur Rouf as the president and the general secretary respextively.

The AGM held at the BUET Graduates Club in Banani in the capital also elected 23 other office bearers and members. Engr Akramuk Huq, the outgoing general secretary earlier presented his report and the financial statement of treasurer Sk Motahar who was indisposed and could not attend the AGM.

Saad Jaglul Abbas was elected treasurer and Pankaj Barua joint treasurer. Shafiqul Karim continued in the positiin of joint general secretary. 

The AGM condoled the death of 24 members including founder president Razaul Huq Mushtaq who passed away since 2021. Vice-president Moniruzzaman read out their names, proposed a minute's silence as a mark od respect to them and led the Munajat for their salvation in the eternal life.

Dr. Imam Hossain took part in the discussion on the reports of the general secretary and the treasurer.
