DSEX Up 3.92 Points; 186 Companies Gain in Early Trading

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) displayed a mixed trend in the first two hours of trading on Tuesday.


While the DSEX and DSES indexes saw gains, the DS30 index dipped slightly. The DSEX, the main index, rose by 3.92 points, reaching 5,174.71, and the DSES Shariah index increased by 4.40 points to 1,160.31. Meanwhile, the DS30 blue-chip index dropped by 1.06 points to 1,921.04.

During this period, 4.09 crore shares and units were exchanged through 41,650 transactions, with a total value of Tk 110.8 crore. Despite significant selling pressure, 385 companies participated in trading. Of these, 186 saw price increases, 104 experienced declines, and 95 remained unchanged.
