Google is honoring Bangladesh’s Independence and National Day with a special doodle, replacing its usual homepage graphic with an illustration featuring the red and green flag of Bangladesh.

When users in Bangladesh visit Google, they will see the flag-themed doodle. By clicking on it, they can access a page with more information about Bangladesh's historic independence.

“This Doodle celebrates Independence Day in Bangladesh! The public holiday marks the moment Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared independence on this day in 1971,” Google’s homepage reads.

The Doodle also highlights annual traditions surrounding the day, including the presentation of the Independence Day Award to citizens and organizations for extraordinary achievements in various fields such as science, sports, literature, and the arts. On Independence Day, grand parades, concerts, and rallies take place across the country, with many people donning traditional green and red attire to honor the national colors. The green represents progress and the nation’s rich landscape, while the red symbolizes sacrifice, rebirth, and the rising sun.
