Md. Al Amin as new GM of Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel
Dhaka, September 2025: Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Md. Al Amin as its new General Manager, marking a historic milestone as he becomes the first-ever Bangladeshi General Manager of Marriott International in South Asia, the world’s largest travel company.
With more than 18 years of experience in the global hospitality industry, Mr. Al Amin has built an accomplished career leading operations, strategy, and guest experience across several international hotel brands. His association with Marriott International spans over seven years, during which he has successfully driven growth, commercial excellence, and service innovation.
Most recently, Mr. Al Amin served as the Hotel Manager and property leader at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel. Prior to this role, he was the Hotel Manager of The Westin Dhaka, while also overseeing Cluster Sales & Marketing operations for both The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka. He was also a key member of the pre-opening team at Sheraton Dhaka, contributing significantly to its successful market debut.
He advanced into leadership positions at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and later Marriott
International, gaining extensive expertise in operations management, revenue optimization, commercial strategies, and elevating guest experience. Today, he is widely regarded as one of Bangladesh’s most accomplished hoteliers and the first of his kind to take the country’s hospitality to an international level.
