Some of the traders, affected by the devastating fire at Bangabazar Market,  started their business in makeshift shops on south side footpath of the market and under the flyover as it would need two to three days to clear the debris of the destroyed market.

More than 500 traders were seen selling  products they could save from the fire.

Workers are busy removing  burnt tins and irons. Burnt tins and rods were sold at nominal prices  to the city corporation.

The victim traders stood in long queues near the information centre opened by Dhaka district administration in front of Anexco Tower to provide information about their gutted shops.

Bangabazar traders began selling products on footpaths.

Traders said if they could sell some products before Eid, they would be able to pay workers' wages.

Trader Md Rahim, who was sitting  under the flyover, said two of his shops at Bagabazar were burnt down. He managed to save some of his products from the fire which he was trying to sell.

Shop Owners Association began  removing debris since Friday morning taking permission from Dhaka South City Corporation.
