Rail track installation on Padma Bridge begins

The installation of rail track on the Padma Multipurpose Bridge started on Saturday.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan inaugurated the works at Zajira end of the bridge at 12:05.
"The Padma Bridge rail project is one of the 10 main projects of the government. New rail line from Dhaka-Jashore will be built under this project. Works of the entire project is scheduled to be completed in four months," the Minister said.
The other officials of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge were present with the minister at that time.
Seventy per cent of the physical work of the project has been completed, minister Nurul Islam Sujan added.
