The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia river route resumed this morning after five and a half hours of disruption due to heavy fog.
Shah Khaled Nawaz, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) director of Aricha office, confirmed the matter on Sunday (December 18) morning and said the ferry services on the route resumed around 11:30 am.
The fog started falling in the river area early Sunday. Later, the light of the ferry marking lamp became dim in the thick fog. For this reason, the ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route was temporarily suspended to avoid accidents on the route around 6:30 am, Khaled Nawaz said.
