Ferry services on two Padma routes resume after 6-hr

Earlier, BIWTC shut the ferry service at 12:00 am due to dense fog.



The ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat and Shariatpur-Chandpur routes in the Padma river resumed after six hours of disruption caused by dense fog on Friday (January 12).

After the fog subsided, the ferry service resumed from 6:00 am.

Earlier, BIWTC shut the ferry service at 12:00 am due to dense fog.

On the other hand, ferry services on the Shariatpur-Chandpur resumed around 8:00am. The route was halted at 1:00am due to dense fog.

BIWTC Aricha office DGM Shah Md Khaled Newaz and Narsingdipur ferryghat assistant manager Md Iqbal Hossain confirmed the developments.
