A former Jubo League leader was shot and hacked to death by unidentified criminals in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram.



A former Jubo League leader was shot and hacked to death by unidentified criminals in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram on Sunday (October 8).

The deceased was known as Manjur Hossain, 35, former publication affairs secretary of Rangunia union Jubo league.

Police and local sources said unidentified criminals shot Manjur first and then hacked him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was taken to upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.

Inspector (investigation) Khan Nurul Islam of Rangunia police station confirmed the matter.
