Wild elephant trampled a man to death in Ctg

Deceased Abul Kalam, 65, died around 11:40 am while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).



A man, who sustained injuries after being attacked by wild elephants at Banskhali upazila in Chattogram district, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the port city on Tuesday.

The incident took place at Purba Natmura village under the upazila in the morning.

Deceased Abul Kalam, 65, died around 11:40 am while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

According to locals, a wild elephant attacked Abul Kalam near a graveyard in the village, leaving him critically injured.

He was rescued and taken to the hospital around 9:20 am, said CMCH police outpost ASI Nurul Alam Asheq.

He then, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital while undergoing treatment and the legal actions have been taken in this regard, added the police official.
