Shoe trader found murdered at Savar home

A businessman was murdered by miscreants at his residence in Savar, police said on Friday.


The victim was identified as Delwar Hossain, a shoe trader by profession.

His body was recovered this evening from his house in Baradeshi Uttarpara area under Aminbazar Union of Savar.

According to the police, the miscreants killed Delwar Hossain by gouging out his eyes and severing his genital organ.

In the afternoon, local residents noticed his body lying inside the house and informed Savar Model Police Station.

Police later arrived at the spot and recovered the body.

The body was sent to the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital for autopsy.

Police said Delwar Hossain used to buy shoes from different places and sell them to various shops, reports UNB. 

Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arman Ali said police are investigating the incident to identify those involved in the killing.
