Sacrificial animal waste to be removed within 24 hrs: Taposh

Dhaka, June 12 - The waste of sacrificial animals will be removed from the streets of Dhaka city within 24 hours, said Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Wednesday.

Separate measures have been taken for removing the waste of sacrificial animals from the cattle markets and other areas of the capital, he said.

The DSCC mayor came up with the information while talking to reporters after visiting the overall preparation of Eid congregation at the National Eidgah Maidan.

Claiming that the DSCC is fully capable of removing waste, Taposh said, already 15 dump trucks having 10 ton capacity and 10 pay-loaders have been included and the process to add 15 more trucks is underway.

He also hoped that they would be able to implement the work more smoothly.-UNB
