A low-pressure area has formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar coast on Sunday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said.

According to the Met office, the system is likely to move north-northwestwards along the Myanmar-Bangladesh coasts.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions, with moderately heavy falls at some locations,” the BMD said in a bulletin.

The bulletin also said that night temperature may remain nearly unchanged, while day temperature may rise slightly across the country, reports UNB.
