Nevada's election certification began on Wednesday, and Friday marked the deadline for counties to finalize their results, which will be reviewed by Democratic Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar and the Nevada Supreme Court. Candidates who wish to challenge the results have until November 20 to request a recount.
President-elect Donald Trump won Nevada, carrying the state's 15 rural counties, where election officials praised the smooth running of the vote. These counties unanimously certified Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, citing no significant issues during the election process.
However, certification meetings in Clark County, home to Las Vegas, and Washoe County, which includes Reno, were marked by disruptive claims of election fraud. In Washoe, a divided commission voted.
