Two motorbike riders killed in B'baria road crash

Two motorbike riders were killed after an unidentified vehicle hit their motorbike on Cumilla-Sylhet highway in Sadar upazila of Brahmanbaria early Saturday.


The deceased were identified as Namim Khan, 19, son of Liton Khan, and Nirob Khan, 18, son of Kismat Khan, both from Kandipara area of Brahmanbaria town. They were cousins.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Baten of Khatihata Highway Police Station said Namim and Nirob were returning home from Sultanpur in Sadar upazila on the motorbike in the early hours of Saturday.

When they reached Ramrail Bazar area an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle, causing both riders to be thrown onto the highway, reports UNB.

They died on the spot, the SI said.

Police recovered the bodies and handed them over to the relatives, he added.
