Woman, son die from electrocution in C’nawabganj

A 30-year-old woman and her minor son died from electrocution at Borochak in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Monday.


The deceased were identified as Murshida Khatun, wife of Morsalin and her son Muzahid Hossain, 10 of the upazila.

Quoting local people, Golam Kibria, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said Murshida came in contact with live electric wire while keeping clothes on the wire for drying on the rooftop of their house.

At one stage, Muzahid got electrocuted while trying to save his mother.

Later, they were taken to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared them dead, reports UNB.
