bKash, the leading mobile financial services provider, was awarded the Excellence in Investment Award 2025 today for its remarkable contribution to Bangladesh's economy, particularly in attracting foreign direct investment.

The award was presented by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to bKash Founder and CEO Kamal Quadir during the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, held at a hotel in Dhaka.

Also present at the ceremony were Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury and Chief Adviser's Special Envoy on International Affairs Lutfey Siddiqi.

The award recognized bKash's ongoing efforts in driving sustainable growth, creating employment opportunities, fostering innovation, and promoting financial inclusion in the country.

Since its inception in 2011, bKash has been a pioneer in digital financial services in Bangladesh. A joint venture between BRAC Bank, Money in Motion LLC, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Alibaba Group's Ant International, and Japan’s SoftBank Vision Fund, bKash operates as a regulated payment service provider under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank. Its contributions to the financial ecosystem have revolutionized access to banking services, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
