Quader hopes new budget to revive post-Covid economy

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today described the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23 as "pro-people and business friendly" which will revive the post-Covid economy.

He said this while giving reaction over the proposed budget to journalists outside Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after the end of budget presentation in parliament.

Quader said, in the proposed budget, the allocation for social safety net has been increased by Taka 7,000 crore compared to the present allocation, reports BSS.

The issues of lower income group and middle-class people have been highlighted in the budget.

"So, it is a budget for the poor. It's a business-friendly and pro-people budget," he said.
