The Gaza Civil Defense said that more than 700 bodies have been recovered from various areas of the Gaza Strip. Most of the recovered bodies bear severe injuries on their bodies, making it impossible to identify the bodies.
Palestine Today quoted Gaza spokesman Major Mahmoud Bassal as saying this.
In a statement, Bassal explained that they are having a hard time identifying the deceased due to the lack of available laboratories. He also noted that the Civil Defense teams have not received the necessary equipment to recover the bodies and clear the rubble.
He also said that 10,000 bodies are still trapped under the rubble due to Israeli brutality in Gaza. He said, "More than 10,000 bodies are trapped under the rubble and the Civil Defense is unable to rescue them. This problem will remain unresolved until the necessary equipment is provided.’
He also said that the international community needs to take urgent decisions to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. He said, ‘Unidentified bodies are being buried in designated cemeteries under the category of ‘unknown’. Most of these remains are fragments of bodies or bones. The issue of missing persons remains unresolved. The suffering of thousands of families searching for their loved ones is being prolonged.
