Bangladesh battling against Afghanistan in the run for semi-final in T20 ICC World Cup.

Bangladesh lost a chance given by Australia’s defeat to India yesterday. Bangladesh had a chance to make it to the semi-finals if they beat Afghanistan by a big margin in the last match of the Super Eight.

To be specific, the Tigers should have won the match before 13 overs if they bowled first and by 62 runs if they batted first. Afghanistan made the target easier at the Arns Vale Stadium. But Bangladesh could not do that.

Bangladesh has dropped out of the Super Eight of this year's World Cup after failing to win the match against Afghanistan within the allotted overs.

Bangladesh had to pass the target of 116 runs given by Afghanistan within 12.1 overs to qualify for the semi-finals. However, if they could score equal to Afghanistan during this period, even if they hit a 6 in the next four balls, the Tigers had a chance to go to the semi-finals. But as they failed to achieve that target, the hope of playing in the semi-finals was not fulfilled for the Tigers.

However, even if Bangladesh departs, Australia's fate also depends on the results of Bangladesh. Assizes will advance to the semi-finals only if Bangladesh wins the match. And Afghanistan, who won the World Cup against Australia with a great performance, will depart.

The semi-final fate rests on the hands of Bangladesh, so Assizes are supporting Bangladesh in this match. Assizes have also posted on their official Facebook page wishing Bangladesh victory by expressing support.
