Shakib Joins Legends of Rupganj Amidst Uncertainty

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has signed with Legends of Rupganj for the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL), despite ongoing uncertainty over his participation due to the current political climate.


Following the India series last year, Shakib was expected to return to Bangladesh to play his final Test against South Africa, but political upheaval prevented him from doing so. He was also scheduled to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the Chittagong Kings but was unable to play due to unforeseen circumstances. On top of these setbacks, Shakib is facing restrictions on his bowling following an action test.

Despite these challenges, Legends of Rupganj confirmed the signing of the ace all-rounder, leaving fans hopeful. However, it remains to be seen whether Shakib will be able to take the field for the team in this year’s Dhaka League.
